International Archaeological Research Institute, Inc. (IARII), a non-profit equal opportunity employer, seeks a temporary (3-4 months), full-time Archaeology Project Director/Bioarchaeologist for its Guam Office, with the potential to become permanent full-time. Must have at least two years of experience directing archaeology projects, conducting burial or data recovery, conducting inventory and analysis of human skeletal remains, and identifying isolated bone fragments. A graduate degree in anthropology with specialization in biological anthropology, bioarchaeology, or degree in a related field, and CRM experience required. Will need a U.S. passport and driver’s license. Pacific Islands experience preferred. Will conduct fieldwork and supervise archaeology crews, conduct burial recovery, write reports, oversee projects, and conduct laboratory analyses. Should have computer skills (Microsoft and Adobe software), experience using statistical software, basic GPS/GIS proficiency, a good sense of organization, problem-solving abilities, interpersonal skills, a strong determination to maintain project schedules, and a willingness to work as part of a team. Project work in Pacific Islands, primarily Micronesia. Position available immediately. $30 to $35 per hour, commensurate with position and experience of the applicant; benefits include healthcare insurance and paid vacation and sick leave.
